Battenkill

Steve Conner, Seth Haskell, Dan Winston and myself rode the Tour of the Battenkill on Saturday. 62 miles of pavement/dirt through beautiful farmland. It's a great race, I highly recommend it. Smiling Steve took an excellent fourth place in the cat 4 race.

For his efforts he was rewarded with this handsome portrait of Ulysses S. Grant:

Dan had a top 20 finish and then managed to run 2 miles from the car to the finish line to catch the end of Seth's race. When he got there he was fresh as a daisy:

Afterward we enjoyed a healthy post-race meal of burgers and fries and reveled in our accomplishments. It was a good time all around, until Seth got tired of Steve's bragging and unleashed the Fists of Fury:

Steve is fine, and should recover in time for Turtle Pond. Next year maybe we can get a few more of these jerseys at the race.

  2. You guys should go to www.cyclingnews.com and check out the pictures of the pros from their race a week later. They are a mess, looks like even if we had the wind and soft roads, they definitely got the worse of it! I hope you go next year Greg, and the same with anyone from the club, it was great fun.
